Scored 8 goals in one game for Dunfermline before joining Aberdeen for a reported £3000 fee in 1954.
Made an impact in the Dons' side in season 1955-1956 when he stood in for Paddy Buckley, dveloping a good understanding with Graham Leggat, but he later lost form and dropped out of the first team. Eventually he asked away from Pittodrie and even a rekindling of form in late 1956 did not change his mind. He moved on to join Third Lanark, signing on 14th November 1956 for a small fee.
Died: Aberdeen, 16th June 2003
