The 24 year old central defender, who spent 18 months at the Pittodrie as a teenager, joins the Club for an undisclosed fee having played almost 150 games for Hamilton Academical, captaining the side on many occasions.
Michael will continue his rehabilitation from injury under the supervision of the Pittodrie medical staff and hopes to be playing again within a couple of months.
Commenting on the move, Michael said, "Derek McInnes didn't have to sell the club to me. As soon as I heard of Aberdeen's interest I couldn't wait to join the Dons to hopefully win trophies and play regular European football."
After a fine start to his Pittodrie career, Michael suffered injuy setbacks but his contract was extended in order to give him time to recover and although he came close on a couple of occasions, on the 8th of April 2022 it was announced that he had agreed with the club that the lengthy run of injury problems had brought his time at Aberdeen to an end.Aberdeen Senior Debut
