Joined the Dons from Livingston FC where he had been for four seasons, two of them as captain. He had started his career with Dumbarton before joining Motherwell where he was loaned out to Stenhousemuir (twice) and Dumbarton, then joined Stenhousemuir for a full season before trasferring to Ayr United from 2014 to 2017 and then Walsall from 2017 to 2019. He signed up for a two year deal at Pittodrie.
