A treasured souvenir of the 1982-1983 season is this Continental silver model of the Bernabeu Stadium, mounted on a mahogany base.

The plaque on the front reads "El REAL MADRID C de F al Aberdeen FC A record of the ECWC Final Gothenburg 11th September 1983” [All in Spanish]. This was the gift from the Madrid Club to the Dons on the eve of the Final match in Sweden.

The base is slightly damaged at either end – the damage occurred amidst celebrations during return from Gothenburg. Since that damage is a part of the story of the Club’s success, restoration has never been considered and the model is on display in the Pittodrie Boardroom.
