In September of 1973 the Dons hosted Finn Harps in the first round of the UEFA Cup. As in all European matches, pennants were exchanged and this is the one that was handed to Captain Willie Young on the day.
Both legs of the tie went well for Aberdeen with 4-1 and 3-1 victories carrying them forward to the second round where they would come up ahainst much tougher opposition in the shape of Tottenham Hotspur.
