Ground Information: | In 1886, Hearts moved across Gorgie Road to the present site (also known as "Tynecastle Park", or "New Tynecastle"), which was leased from Edinburgh Corporation. Hearts played a friendly against Bolton Wanderers to inaugurate their new home on 10 April 1886. | |||||
Travel By Train: | Aberdeen to Edinburgh Haymarket (last stop before Waverly Station). Proceed along Dalry Road and Gorgie Road. Buses are available from town to Tynecastle. | |||||
By Car/Coach: | Join the A8 and continue along it until you reach the Haymarket junction. Take the right hand lane in the one way system before taking the left hand route along the Dalry Road until you join the Gorgie Road. Once passed under the railway bridge turn right onto McLeod Street. Continue along this street to join the Russell Road where coaches can be parked. | |||||
Parking: | There are no special parking arrangements and traffic wardens strictly control street parking. However there is street parking available north of Murrayfield Stadium and Corstorphine Road. South of the stadium parking is available at the south end of Gorgie Road and Shandon. Coaches can park in Russell Road. | |||||
