Queen's Park, at Hampden Park, Glasgow, though only successful by the odd goal in three against Aberdeen, had a good deal more of the game than the actual result would seem to indicate. All along Aberdeen were over-weighted, the disparity being most marked in the opening half when Queen's Park, through Aitken and Templeton, gained ground. There was but one point registered in the second stage, Jackson being responsible for Aberdeen's goal from a penalty kick. Attendance, 4000.

3000 spectators saw Queen's Park defeat Aberdeen at Hamden. It was a good, equally-contested game. The amateurs scored both the points in the first half, Aitken and Templeton being the marksmen. Anderson defended well, and could not be blamed for either shot reaching the net. Aitken got the rebound from a shot which had "doubled up" the custodian. Ambler was prominent in raids upon the Queen's goal, and had hard lines. In the second period Aberdeen scored from a penalty, taken by Jackson who, with Andersen and Wylie, was about the pick of the visitors. The Pittodrie van tried hard to the end to get the equaliser, and were well supported by the halves. Thomson seemed more at home in that line than forward.
