Orion had the Alloa Athletic Club as their visitors at Cattofield, where several thousand spectators had assembled to witness the game. Orion, through Stopani scored soon after the start, but their opponents were quickly on level terms again, and before ends were changed they were one goal to the good. Orion struggled hard to get level, and on one occasion managed to get the ball through, but no point was allowed; and it was not until within three minutes of time that the ground forwards equalised. The game thus ended in a draw: two goals each.
