The Aberdeen 4 - 0 Arbroath Wanderers
Kick Off:    C. W. Mackie (4)
Attendance: 0
Venue: Chanonry, Aberdeen
Before a fairly large attendance, these teams met at Chanonry. Teams: Aberdeen - Cruickshank; John Davidson, Low; Alexander, Joseph Davidson, Thomson; Tindall, Toman, C. W. Mackie, Milne, J. Mackie. Wanderers - Tully; Robb, Kidd; Johnstone, Willox, McHattie; Nicol, Ford, Stewart, Ramsay, Smart. Referee - Mr Charles Glennie, Aberdeen.

From the beginning of the game the Aberdeen manifested their superiority, and despite the fact that they had a stiff breeze against them in the first period, they succeeded, through the instrumentality of C. W. Mackie, in registering no less than three points.

The second half was more equally divided as regards play. The Wanderers infused more dash into their shooting, giving Cruickshank much trouble. The strangers, however, lacked combination, and were particularly unfortunate at goal mouth. The Aberdeen had also very hard lines at goal mouth, all the front division sending in splendid shots, which, however, failed to find their way into the net. C. W. Mackie again came to the rescue, and with a capital oblique shot be placed the home eleven four goals ahead. The strangers endeavoured hard to score, but all to no purpose, and time was called with the scores standing: Aberdeen, 4; Arbroath Wanderers 0.
