The "learned professors" of the Association code met the Aberdeen at Chanonry in a 'Shire Cu tie. In the early stage of the game the students made a good show, but after struggling manfully for twenty minutes, the lads from King's commenced to waver, and the Whites did very much as they liked, the visitors seldom getting out of their own quarters, the score at half-time standing at 5-1 in favour of the senior club. In the last 45 the leaders scored other five points, three of which, however, were disallowed, so that the 'Varsity retired defeated by 7 goals to 1. Matters were a little "forcy" all through, but Mr James Philip, who held the whistle, kept the reins pretty tight.
