Victoria United 2 - 0 Dundee A
Kick Off:    Buyers, ?
Attendance: 0
Venue: Central Park, Aberdeen
These teams engaged in a friendly match on Saturday afternoon at Central Park, Kittybrewster, before a meagre turnout of spectators. The weather, although bright and clear, was cold, and a thin sprinkling of snow lay on the field. The teams were:- Victoria United: R. Murray; Kilgour, Thain; Bremner, A. Murray, F. Craig; Buyers, Duncan, A. Craig, Ferries, R. Ritchie. Dundee A: T. Stewart; Jeffrey, Taylor; A. Halkett, W. Stewart, Keillor; Atherton, Steven, Bell, Cowie, J. Halkett. Mr. Beddington, Victoria United, was referee.

Dundee kicked off up the incline, but the United immediately got possession, and got down towards Stewart, but the ball went out of play. The field was very slipperry, and it was with difficulty thatthe players kept their feet. All through the first half the game was evenly contested, but neither side succeeded in finding an opening.

The visitors forced the game on commencing the second period, but the home defence was strong, and cleared every attempt by the Dundee forwards. Ultimately the play of the visitors fell away considerably, while that of the United showed a marked improvement. From midfield the right wing of the Victoria United went off in fine style, and Stewart ran out from his goal to clear. The Dundee custodian, however, failed to get the ball far enough away, with the result thatBuyers, getting possession, opened the scoring with an easy shot. This was the means of wakening up the Dundonians, who now played with more dash. So exasperated did the spectators become with the rough play indulged in, especially by one of the Dundee players, that at length a number broke into the field, and it with great difficulty that the United officials prevailed upon them to get off again. Just before the finish the United scored another goal. A very rough game ended as follows:- Victoria United 2, Dundee A 0.
