Aberdeen A travelled to Inverness and opposed Thistle, under Highland League auspices, before a large crowd. Thistle were in rampant mood, and gave Gault and Low splendid opportunities of showing their abilities. Thistles splendid play could not be denied, and it was only their due the ward when A. MacDonald and T. MacDonald scored splendid goals. Aberdeen wingers played pretty and effective football, and McIntosh was always on the alert.
Play in the second period deteriorated considerably, but at the same time Aberdeen had some spanking runs. From one of these, Wood scored a pretty goal, and later on Neilson equalised the game with a brilliant shot. The game on the whole was up to the standard of Halliday football, and appeared to please the crowd.
