A charity football match in aid of the Walker Fund (for the widowed mother of the late William Walker, of Leith Athletic), and the Aberdeen Unemployed Fund, was played at Pittodrie yesterday afternoon between teams representing the Aberdeen Football Club and the Aberdeen University. There was a fair attendance when the teams lined up as follows under the charge of Mr. A Watt, Aberdeen.

Aberdeen: Herd; Urquhart, Boyle; Low, Strang, Low; Macdonald, Simpson, Gault, O'Hagan, Edgar.
University: Paterson; Hannah, W. Smith; Gordon, McLeod, Ross; McEachran, McKenzie, E. Smith, Bruce, Galloway.

University won the toss, and immediately became aggressive, Herd saving a difficult shot from the centre forward. After a spell of even play, Gault showed to find advantage, Aberdeen took the lead. Simpson on Macdonald worked well together, and after a fine run of more than half the field, Macdonald sent over the capital cross, which Gault headed in. A few minutes later O'Hagan, after a fine dribbling bout, scored for Aberdeen with a long, fast shot. The University men were presented with several good openings, but weak shooting spoiled their efforts. Plate was very interesting, Aberdeen giving a splendid passing exhibition. Towards the end of the first period the players put more life into the game, the University forwards showing splendid form. Aberdeen's goal was hotly attacked from all sides, and eventually Galloway scored. After this reverse, Aberdeen attacked, and about 2 minutes from the interval, O'Hagan scored for his side.

On resuming, Aberdeen attacked, and after 10 minutes' exciting play in front of Paterson, Gault scored from a neat pass by O'Hagan. The 'Varsity played up well after this, but the Aberdeen defence or send. Herd had several stiff shots to negotiate.

The gate, including stands, realised 9 5s.
