Team Work Put Dons On Top
TEAM work at its best. That was the secret of Aberdeen's great victory by five clear goals against Dundee United at Tannadice. The Dons played brilliant football and were congratulated on all sides for the high quality of their display, which, it was admitted, was the best seen at Dundee for long time.

The United were outplayed and outclassed by a team which was vastly superior in all departments and in all phases of the game.
Pat Kelly inspired confidence from the start. Cooper and Dyer never put a foot wrong. As a constructive half-back, Russell had no superior on the field. Taylor shone in defence and attack. Dunlop simply blotted out Juliussen, the United centre. The Dons middle trio rightly adopted the policy of going for the ball all the time, and it paid handsomely.
The van scintillated throughout. Waldron, who had the hat-trick was a crafty little leader. He had great inside men in Pattillo and Green. Munro was the best winger on view, and Miller was also very effective.
In addition to Waldron, Miller and Green scored for the Dons.
There is no change in the League positions. Dundee and Rovers both won from home, and are still joint leaders, but the Dons are hot on their trail
