Montrose 10 - 2 The Aberdeen
Kick Off:
Attendance: 0
Venue: Links Park, Montrose
Played at Montrose. Aberdeen won the toss, and, electing to play with the wind, wore soon buzzing around the Montrose posts. Capital play characterised both sides, but Mackie getting a good chance spun the ball through between the Aberdeen standards. A second was added by Keillor in a trice, and after some good play the visitors scored their first goal ? a beauty. In the second period the play was mostly on the side of the home team, who registered goal after goal till ten was reached. Result: Montrose 10, Aberdeen 2.

But what can we say about the Aberdeen's appearance against the Montrose? Surely, after the very promising start which the Chanonry "proprietors" made at the beginning of their season, they are not to break down thus at the end, and leave an exit record that will be pointed to and sneered at by the poorest players in town or county! 10 to 2!! Alas, and alack!
