Stonehaven 2 - 8 The Aberdeen
Kick Off:
Attendance: 0
Venue: Glenury Park, Stonehaven
The crack Aberdeen Club visited Stonehaven. The visitors had the wind in their favour in the first half, and scored 3 goals. The weather moderated a bit before half-time. Stonehaven had a few chances which they failed to take advantage of, while Aberdeen added other 2 or 3 goals. At length the home team put on their first point, and a second point was notched shortly before the finish. Aberdeen, however, increased their score, and won a very pleasant game by 8 goals to 2. Wood and Ketchen at back, and Whitehead, Key, and Thomson played well for Aberdeen, as did Valentine, Barclay, Annand, and Christie for Stonehaven.

These teams played at the Urie ground on Saturday. The wind was blowing a gale. The Aberdeen arrived in a finely-equipped brake, drawn by four greys. At the commencement the Aberdeen team had the wind in their favour, but the home team, it must be said, played well. The strangers scored 3 goals in the first half. On changing ends the Stonehaven team soon made one goal, but the wind then fell, and the teams were more on an equality than before. Whitehead and others of the Aberdeen team were very active, and 5 goals were added to the score, Stonehaven making' only one other goal, for which Valentine played well. Result:- Aberdeen, 8; Stonehaven, 2.
