This match was played at Central Park. Play for a time was fairly equal, but, the locals pressing, Leggat scored first goal. Thereafter they improved upon this advantage, Burns getting behind twice. Coupar-Angus secured two points, but, despite the utmost exertions, failed to equalise, and the match ended: Orion, 3 goals; Coupar-Angus, 2.

Played at Central before a miserable attendance of spectators, only something like thirty shillings being drawn, to commence with, was very equal, the locals on the first point from the foot of Leggat, pressing still harder, they were fortunate in scoring other two points, before the strangers had one. Coupar began to press and scored twice, but although they exerted themselves to their utmost, were unable to draw level, the match Orion 3 goals, Coupar Angus, 2.
