The Victoria United journeyed to Brechin last Saturday minus six of their usual team, and engaged the home men in a most enjoyable game, which ended in the defeat of the strangers by 8 goals to 2. The Vics had rather more of the game than the score would indicate - 6-2 would be nearer the mark - two of the goals being suspiciously like off-side. The Brechin are a new young team, exceedingly smart and gentlemanly. Henderson, the outside right, was their most conspicuous man, doing an immense amount of work, and taking most of the goals. All the defence of the Aberdeen men played well, while the most promising of the forwards were Sinclair, Wallace, and Ferries, the left wing being especially good. The Vics returned home highly pleased with the courteous manner in which they were treated.
