Dundee Wanderers 2 - 1 Victoria United
Kick Off:    Graham, ?       Henderson
Attendance: 0
Venue: Clepington Park, Dundee
Defeat of the Vics.
The Vics journeyed to Dundee on Saturday to play the Wanderers on fatal Clepington Park. These grounds are easily the worst in the League. "Black," as usual, could not travel. The Vics would be far better without him altogether. Moir, a "dark horse" from the south, filled the gap. The Vics won the toss, and a minute later were swarming round Ross, McIlvenny gave him a stinger to hold out. Peat then changed the venue of the play, but Findlay saved grandly. Off a corner Graham scored. Three corners in succession fell to the Wanderers, but McNeil & Co. managed to clear. Relief from a free kick let Moir off. He tried Ross with a long slanting shot, who just managed to save at the expense of a corner. From a scrimmage at the Vics' goal the ball was netted, although the Vics' defence declare it was fisted through. Half time found the Vics pressing.
Lots of chances were given the Vics in the second half. One time Ritchie put the ball yards wide when he had an open goal, Burnett shooting high over a minute later. At last off a foul Henderson beat the Wanderers' custodian. A minute later Moir charged goalkeeper and ball into the back of the net, amid cheers, when to the surprise of everyone, the referee disallowed the goal - a most stupid decision. For the last quarter of an hour the Aberdeen team had all the play, and if they had got a another goal they would have won. The game, however, finished in favour of Wanderers by 2-1.

Short Kicks.

The disallowing of the second goal at Dundee probably means the losing of the League flag to the Vics.
