Played at Chanonry before a small turnout of spectators. The Whites, commenced with a considerable amount of dash, but the Orion team maintained a defence which would not be broken down. For some fifteen minutes after the start the game was evenly contested, but Whitehead, discovering an opening, with a splendid shot secured the first goal. There was no further scoring when half-time was called.
The Orion showed better pluck at the restart, and had the best of the game for a considerable time. Ten minutes after the commencement McFarlane equalised with a splendid shot. Soon afterwards Aberdeen scored a second time, the ball being kicked through from a scrimmage. Shortly before the whistle sounded time McFarlane again scored, putting the game on an equal footing. Both teams struggled hard for the mastery, but the match ended: Aberdeen 2, Orion 2.
