A few hundred spectators witnessed the game at Pittodrie, between teams representing the Aberdeen Reserves and one of H.M. ships. it cannot be said that the game was evenly contested. The Reserves were all over the Navymen, and could have put up a large score had they cared to do so, but they wisely refrained. At the interval the reserves lead by two goals to nil, and the game ended in a win for the reserves by three goals to one. The Navymen worked hard, but the lack of training for such an encounter told against them.
