HT Score: Meadowbank Thistle 0 - 1 Aberdeen

Scottish Reserve League East
Meadowbank Thistle scorers: McNeil.
Aberdeen scorers: Downie, Bridgeford, McCarron.

Valuable lesson learned

(Ian) Downie had opportunities to extend his experience of the different role (centrally rather than wide right) when he fulfilled it in away East Reserve League games against Meadowbank Thistle and Arbroath.
The Meadowbank game, in which Alex McLeish made his comeback following a lengthy injury absence, produced a 3-1 win with Downie joining Paul Bridgeford and Jamie McCarron on the scoring list.
