Played at Pittodrie Park before a large attendance of spectators. The teams lined up as follows: Aberdeen: Bisset; Mackie, Douglas; Cameron, Thomson, Drummond; Fullarton, Cable, Livingstone, Gray, Shiach. Wanderers: Ross; Robertson, Gray; Neave, Gowans, McGee; McLean, McInroy, Johnstone, Graham, McColl. Mr Hendry, Linthouse, was referee. Aberdeen started with the wind in their favour. Shiach and Gray played with great accuracy, and caused the visitors' custodian a great deal of trouble. At last they obtained success, Gray, who accepted a nice pass from Shiach, sending the ball into the net. Soon afterwards Graham equalised, but before half-time Livingstone gave the home team the lead. In the second stage of the game Cameron registered a beautiful goal for the Aberdeen, Ross having no chance to save. Play was stopped ten minutes before time, owing to the darkness, and the Wanderers protested. The score, when the referee blew his whistle, was: Aberdeen, 3; Dundee Wanderers, 1.
