Ten thousand spectators at Pittodrie Park witnessed Aberdeen gain a decisive victory of two goals to nothing over Dumbarton. Both goals fell to the credit of Fisher, who occupied the centre position amongst the forwards, who proved a fast moving lot, and got many opportunities of scoring, though they did not take full advantage of them. Hutton and Hannah, aided by A. R. Grosert, put up an impregnable defence for Aberdeen, and Thomson, in the forward line, was one of the best workers. The visitors were unfortunate in losing the services of McDiarmid, who had to be assisted off the field in the second half.
