Aberdeen A: Mutch; Bell, Brebner; Davidson, Simpson, Robertson; Morgan, Toman, McKinley, Ritchie, Lawrie.

Aberdeen won the toss, and Grier kicked off for Dunfermline, but Aberdeen were the first to make headway. Dunfermline, however, made crowned on the right. Brebner transferred play, and Toman give Thompson a hard shot to save. Good tackling by Brown allowed McLeod and Fraser to get away, but Fraser was a little weak with his cross, and Brebner cleared. Aberdeen were awarded a fouled close in, and Simpson banged the ball past the post. One from a well directed pass by Phillips the home left got away, and Fraser crossing better this time to Miller, that player opened the scoring.
On the resumption Aberdeen got away through Morgan, but Phillips backed him well; and at the other end both Innes and Miller gave Mutch hot shots to save. From a miss kick by Herd, Lawrie made off, but he overran the ball, and play was again at the visitors' end. Dunfermline were now awarded a corner, which went past. Lawrie again got on the run, but Brown relieved with a good kick. Result - Dunfermline, 4 goals; Aberdeen A, nil. Mutch defended the Aberdeen goal brilliantly, but he was trice beaten, Grier scoring two goals and Phillips one.
