Aberdeen Reserves played a friendly game with an Aberdeenshire junior select team at Pittodrie on Saturday. There was a fair attendance of spectators. The strong, gusty wind blew making it difficult for the players to control the ball.
Aberdeen Reserves pressed at the start. Ultimately the juniors had a look in. Mitchell was presented with a splendid chance to score, but lifted the ball over the bar when two or three yards from the goalkeeper. Aberdeen were quickly at the other end, and McIntosh got through and scored. A second goal for the reserves was obtained by Robertson.
After the second half had been some time in progress Hume went to outside-left. For some time Aberdeen had the better of matters, until Deans scored for the juniors. The third point for the reserves were secured by McIntosh.
