A football match at Aberdeen realised £70 to provide footballs for men of Scottish regiments behind the lines in France.

Strictly speaking the match was between Aberdeen Seniors and Juniors. It was organised by Aberdeen goalkeeper George Anderson and several Aberdeen players did play for the Seniors. Over £70 was raised which would enable the sending of between 100 and 200 footballs to the front.
