Aberdeen U20s finished their pre-season tour of the Highlands with a 3-1 defeat to Brora Rangers.
After drawing with Turriff and beating Clach, it was always going to be a tough test for Paul Sheerin's side against the Highland League team who finished in third position last season, only a point behind Cove and Buckie. Aberdeen took the lead through a brilliant free-kick from Toby Wells early in the first half. Colin Williamson then equalised with a looping header. Then towards the end of the half Mair saved well to keep out a shot from Scott Graham but Paul Brindle followed up to score.
In the second half both teams hit the bar - Wells was unlucky not to score a second with a free kick from 20 yards but the only goal came from Kyle Macleod who scored from the penalty spot.
Despite the result great experience for a young U20 who continue their pre-season campaign with a game against Montrose on Tuesday night. Kick off at Links Park is 7.00pm.
