ABERDEEN'S reserve side did not deserve to leave both points at Parkhead. The game was always lively and entertaining, with the better football coming from the visitors, who did not get the breaks.
Two blunders by the Aberdeen defence meant the loss of two goals and the match, but otherwise they played well, giving the young Celtic forwards little rope. Celtic set a hot pace at the outset, but it was a misunderstanding between Hendry and Waddell which enabled them to take the lead.
In their next attack Ouchterlonie tricked a defender and left Watters with an easy task to score a second. This further reverse roused the Aberdeen side, and it was only their due when Williams slammed the ball home from close range.
This completed the scoring, although Aberdeen had not the best of luck in the second half, when many good tries were scraped away by a shaky home defence. Taken all over, draw would have been good result.
