A big crowd of spectators witnessed a hard, keen tussle when Aberdeen opposed Killie in a reserve league game.

The home team introduced two new wingers while Aberdeen had a trialist at left back. Cooper and Wallbanks are well-known faces to the home fans With a half time lead of 2-0 it looked as if the home team would have a comfortable victory as they had been playing good football in the first half; with Collins excelling in his distribution of the ball. Aberdeen, however, were not without spirit, fighting gamely till they secured the equaliser. It does credit to the Killie colts that they rallied well and so secured the points.
The first goal was the result of a penalty award. McDonald being sandwiched in the area when going through on his own. HENRY showed how a spot kick should be taken placing a ground shot into the right hand corner of the net giving the Aberdeen keeper no chance.
The same player scored Killie's second goal, this time HENRY beat Watson with a fast rising shot.
After the interval Aberdeen took the initiative. From a cross by Wallbanks Walker shot weakly into Hunter's hands. The men from the north were not to be denied - Hunter's failure to intercept a cross gave WALLBANKS an open goal at his mercy. The outside right taking full advantage of the situation opened the visitors account.
Hunter failed to hold a shot from Wallbanks near the post and McMAHON bundled the ball into the net. Aberdeen were now on level terms. This acted as a tonic to the home team and it was with great difficulty that a corner from the left was eventually cleared by the Aberdeen defenders.
The home team continual to press and McDONALD scored the winning goal. The centre's shot was deflected off a defender into the net.
Aberdeen never gave up. Walker shooting over the bar when there WBB only Hunter to beat.
Neither of Klllie's new wingers were brilliant but the outside right was the better of the two. Surely Henry and Collins are worthy of a game in the first eleven.
