Celtic 1 - 5 Aberdeen

FOR the most part Aberdeen Reserves had to concentrate on defence at Celtic Park, and their forwards were seldom seen as an attacking force. The Dons' defence was steady for the first half-hour, but then Quinn and then Sirrel scored for Celtic.
Just on the interval Callander, though twice challenged, cleverly netted for Aberdeen.
Celtic's brightest period followed, and the Dons' got a roasting, which culminated in McLaughlin adding a third goal in four minutes.
Shots of all description were fired at Scott, whose work between the posts was at times inspired. McKenzie was another who seldom faltered under the severest pressure.
Play was clean throughout, though Scott and Glen got knocks from which thev soon recovered. Quinn and Kalper added goals for Celtic in the closing minutes.
