Disaster

Saturday's game at Pittodrie was most disappointing from the point of view of the Dons' supporter. First there was the most unfortunate accident to Graham Leggat and to follow came the defeat of his side at the hands (or rather the feet!) of Partick Thistle. The loss of the points was all the more annoying in that the ten-man team put up a terrific fight. They gave everything they had in an attempt to overcome what proved to be too great a handicap. As often happens when a side applies great pressure without scoring - the other side broke away and scored. It would be unfair to criticise the players under such conditions. With any luck they would have shared the points but it just wasn't their lucky day. At the same time it must be pointed out that before disaster befell the Dons, their opponents had already scored. We are losing far too many goals these days - even at home!
