Young Dons dump Dundee

Neil Cooper's young guns hopefully showed their senior counterparts the way to go as they beat Dundee 4-2 at Balgownie this afternoon to continue their recent good run.

Big Stephen Tarditi carried on where he left off after his last gasp equaliser on Wednesday against Motherwell, netting after only two minutes. On the half hour mark, the same player was on target again as the home side dominated proceedings through to the interval.

Ten minutes into the second half, the Dons were three up as Zander Diamond scored with a towering header at the back post following a right wing corner.

All credit to Dundee though as they refused to throw in the towel and they pulled two goals back in 58 and 76 minutes, the second goal coming from the penalty spot.

But the Dons were determined they wouldn't throw it away and Tarditi broke clear to complete his hat-trick with only two minutes left to play.
