Dons highland fling

Aberdeen U19s had an impressive victory over Inverness CT U19s on Friday. The match was played in Dingwall but despite the long trip North the Dons got off to the perfect start when Stuart Smith headed a David Donald cross in after only 49 seconds.

The young Dons then went two up when Bagshaw turned home a John Bruce cross. (7 mins)

Inverness got back into the game after 17 minutes. A dangerous corner was swung in and Martin Skinner was unlucky to see his defensive header rebound off an Inverness player and go into the net.

For the rest of the half, and the game Aberdeen had to endure a lot of pressure but thanks to some good defending and a couple of excellent saves from Greg Kelly they managed to hold out for a well earned victory.
