late goal flurry tames young lions
Three late goals gave the young Dons a comfortable victory over their Livingston counterparts at the City Stadium after the home side had taken the early lead. A Graeme DORRANS shot in the 23rd minute gave Livi the lead but twelve minutes later, a Murray McCulloch cross was headed home by Ashley McINNES.
There was no further scoring until sixteen minutes from time when Michele Lombardi was brought down inside the area and McCULLOCH made no mistake, his spot kick going in off the post. In the 84th minute the Dons were awarded a second penalty when Brian Neill was tripped inside the area. This time it was the turn of Stephen TARDITI to do the honours.
Three minutes later a Craig Higgins through ball was met by Ricky Foster who cut the ball back for fellow substitute John STEWART to fire home and complete the scoring.
