UNABLE TO KEEP UP THEIR HOME FORM

ABERDEEN, it seems, are unable to reproduce their home form on opponents' grounds, and they were well whacked in yesterday's match at Stark's Park.

After they had gained an early lead, the Dons appeared to take it for granted that the match was as good as won, and they inevitable paid the penalty.
It was not until Kinnear gave Raith a 3-1 lead that Aberdeen seemed to realise their position, and after that it was too late.
Raith had got a firm grip, and the plucky Kirkcaldy side refused to be dislodged.
Aberdeen s defence was not so reliable as usual, and only Rennie and Waddell were seen to advantage.
Although conceding four goals, Rennie gave a capable display and handled the ball cleanly throughout. Waddell had a difficult job keeping Kinnear in check, but he came through the ordeal with credit.

"STARLESS" DONS

There were no stars in the Aberdeen attack, Pattillo being unable to make any headway against Low.
Raith had two grand wingers, an eager centre in Kinnear, and most important of all, a resolute defence. Till at right-half was a star, and repeatedly turned defence into attack with clever runs.
Aberdeen rather surprisingly took the lead after twenty minutes had gone. Moodie failed to gather a shot from Bain, and Pattillo was on the spot to send the ball into the net.

RAITH TAKES LEAD

Apart from tries by Smith and Bain, Aberdeen were not much in the limelight before the interval, and it was no surprise when Raith equalised and ultimately took the lead.
Kinnear levelled matters and Tulip, with a twenty-five yards' drive, got the second.
Aberdeen were a listless lot after the interval, and the home defence had few anxious moments.
Kinnear scored a third goal in twenty-four minutes and a fourth by Tulip eleven minutes later only served to confirm Raith Rovers' superiority.
