Our local reserves left on Saturday morning for a long journey to Beith. Very few expected them to do anything more than draw, while litany predicted absolute defeat after the display Beith gave at Pittodrie on Aug. 27. It was a stubborn game at Beith, but Aberdeen managed to score the only goal in the match, and carried away the points. The feature was the fine defence of the Aberdeen halves, backs, and goalkeeper, who all did well, and they have to be congratulated on their fine win.
