The poor crowd turned out to witness this game and Paisley. Teams:-
Saint Mirren A: Lacy; A. Ritchie, Livingstone; J. Allan, Chitticks, Harvey; A. McLardie, J. Blackie, White, Millar.
Aberdeen A: Greig; Hannah, harper; Davidson, Macfarlane, Robertson; Brooks, Hendry; W. D. Nichol; Edgar, Neilson.
Referee - Mister S. Adams, Falkirk.
The homesters kicked off and made play on the left, Miller and White both having tries at Greig in the first few minutes. Aberdeen then pressed, and Nichol just missed by inches. The visitors were no around Lacy, but he cleared at the expense of a corner. A good run by Miller looked promising at this stage, but he missed with his parting shot. Both sides played strenuously when nearing the interval, but when half-time was called neither team had scored.
On restarting, Aberdeen lost no time in getting to work, Nichol taking possession and beating Lacy in the first minute. The Saints quickly retaliated, however, and in less time than it takes to tell Harvey had equalised. Saint Mirren at this point were playing well. Hannah and Harper had their work cut out in defending their end. Aberdeen were playing grandly no, and Neilson almost scored.
