Played and Dens Park on Saturday. Teams:-
Dundee A: Phillip; McRobbie, McEwan; J. Comrie, Walker, Gowans; Law, McLachlan, Simpson, Graydon, Christie.
Aberdeen A: Greig; Hannah, Harper; Watson, Macfarlane, Low; Hay, Thomson, W. Lithgow, Edwards, Robertson.
Referee - Mister S. Johnstone, Dundee.
The visitors created a surprise by attacking at once, and, while they were repelled, the front lines stuck to the attack, and Edwards early opened the scoring with a hot drive, which placed the sphere in the corner of the net. This reverse brought out Dundee's full power, and they swept down on Greig. Law and McLachlan headed the invasion, and the forward delivered a shot but brought the equaliser. The game was always keen, but the wind spoilt many efforts.
The teams turned over on an equality, but in the first minute Aberdeen secured the lead. A corner was forced, and Hay nicely placed the ball for Watson, who notched the point. Through the half Aberdeen were mostly on the defensive, where Harper did great work.
