Reserves Narrow Win

As the score of 3-2 for Aberdeen A indicates, there was little between that side and the Motherwell A in their Reserve League game at Pittodrie. There was a wretchedly poor spectatorate, but these were provided with plenty of the exciting element. Aberdeen A were in great form at the start, and Campbell soon found the net. Afterwards the visitors recovered, but slackness by the forwards at close quarters spell disaster for them.

Early in the second half Findlay increased the home side's league, while from a penalty Hannah scored a third goal. The game took a sensational turn after this. Main score for Motherwell before he had to be assisted to the pavilion. With 10 men the visitors struggled valiantly, and Rae added a second goal for the strangers, who fought unsuccessfully for the equaliser, and Aberdeen won deservedly if narrowly.
