Aberdeen Reserves Easy Win

Aberdeen A had little difficulty in getting the Highland League points from Elgin City at Pittodrie on Saturday. Play was very scrappy in the first half. Edgar scored for the former side after 12 minutes, and with the opportunities their forwards were given the Reserves out to have been leading comfortably at the interval. As it was, Keil, the visiting centre, headed the equaliser just before the whistle blew. It was a capitally taken goal.

In the second half play was much brighter. The locals added three points, McIntosh scoring one very fine goal. The Elgin forwards showed improved form in the open, but their finishing was indifferent. Asher had a number of clever runs. Milne rendered great service for his side at right back, tackling and kicking well and showing a rare turn of speed. The City man all through was plucky. Their principal fault, and it was very glaring in the initial period, was an inclination to get rid of the ball as soon as possible no matter where it went.
