Aberdeen A sustained their heaviest defeat of the season at Kilmarnock, where the home team beat them by five clear goals in a Scottish Alliance match. The Pittodrie side, which included Cairne, an Ayrshire junior at back, and Maxwell, the ex-Dunfermline player at inside left, never really got going. At the interval Kilmarnock led by 3-0. Watson (twice, one from a penalty) and Corbet were the scorers, and in the second half Watson (a penalty) and Howatt were the scorers. The score greatly exaggerated the superiority of the winners, several of the Aberdeen attack, especially in the second half, being worthy of better reward.
