Minor Derby

The weather conditions at Dens Park for the "Little Derby" were somewhat depressing and according to some of the reports so was the play. But one's viewpoint of a game depends sometimes on the side one supports, and the match was quite satisfactory from an Aberdeen aspect. The Dons' defenders throughout kept a tight grip on the opposing attack and although it was late in the game before the Young Dons got the all-important second goal, they looked the likelier side over the whole game and just deserved the points.
