Brown Hits Hat-trick For Dons A

Our next game was at Tannadice where we beat Dundee United, by three goals to Nil. Doug Brown was our hero, scoring a hat-trick. This was another good result for us, and it was thoroughly deserved as the lads played exceptionally well and we did not have a failure.
Brown's first goal came when Walter Smith slipped in trying to clear his lines, Duggie controlled the ball and hit the back of the net with an angular drive. His second came when John Reilly hit a high lob into the goalmouth, and a smart piece of control gave "Netzer" the chance to hit the net again. His third was headed in from about sixteen yards after a fine cross by our substitute Alex Grant. One feature of the game was the handling of the match by the referee Mr. Galloway from Fife, who had an excellent game.
