St. Mirren 0 - 2 Aberdeen

In the game between St Mirren and Aberdeen at Paisley, the local eleven were outclassed. The started well enough, but once the visitors, who had a strong wind in their favour, got settled to their game, O'Hagan had a busy time. Cail opened the scoring after about twenty minutes' play, and just before the interval Walker added a second goal for Aberdeen. When St Mirren attacked they were well held, although a great chance came the way of Sowerby and Branwick. In the second half Aberdeen played cleverly, and gave a display of fast, methodical passing, which at times bewildered the Saints' halves. St Mirren never looked like scoring, and were well beaten.

Aberdeen, who defeated Crean of Morton at Pittodrie the previous week, are maintained their improved play, and were victors against St Mirren by 2 goals to 0, at Paisley, on Saturday. They had the wind in their favour the first half, but at the outset Saint Mirren showed dash and vigour, and threatened to score. Colman was prominent in the Aberdeen defence. As the game progressed, the visitors' attack began to make itself felt. Walker made a big effort from a cross by W. Wylie. Cail, however, got in the line of the ball, and so hard was the shot that the centre was knocked down. The Paisley defenders were now getting a deal of work, but held their own. A pretty movement by Saint Mirren forwards ended in Greig being severely tested, and it was only with difficulty that the goalkeeper saved. Soon afterwards Aberdeen scored, Cail beating O'Hagan after wing to wing play. The pace of the game increased after this, and hard knocks were going. Close up on the interval, a long shot by walker added to Aberdeen's score.

Saint Mirren resumed without Clark, but the centre appeared shortly afterwards, though limping. Play in the second half was largely of the give-and-take order, and the defenders prevailed. The result was a well-merited victory for the visitors.
