Forfar Hold Young Dons

After our win at Ibrox we travelled to Forfar, where the local team held us to a 2 - 2 draw. We were leading by two goals to nil at one stage but Forfar fought back to draw level.
We gave local lad Keith Joss of Sunnybank A a game as sweeper and he played very well. Bobby Glennie played at Centre Half in place of Alec McLeish (who was standing by for first team duty the following day), Jimmy Rodgers was at full back in place of David Scott who has gone back to school in Motherwell and will be a part time player. He will train with the Motherwell part timers under the watchful eye of former ' St. Mirren manager Wilson Humphries.
Another new face playing for us was Tommy Pye, and he had the satis¬faction of scoring our first goal. Alex Grant got our second when he cashed in on a misunderstanding between, the goalkeeper and a defender. The Forfar team had a fair sprinkling of ex-Dundee United players, one notable was Henry Hall who has been around for some time, but still shows a lot of skill, and his sharpness and positional sense caused us some problems.
