Hugh Livingston

It is some considerable time since the Aberdeen have secured so likely a recruit as the subject of the accompanying portrait. Commencing in the St Ronald some four years ago, he gave early promise of turning a class player. After playing a short time for the Saints, he transferred his services to the Ashfield, and from that to the Royal Oak. He returned to the Ashfield, but the Royalists induced him once more to return to their fold, and he remained with them until he migrated to Chanonry this season. "Doyle," as he is familiarly called in junior circles, was considered the best right winger on the Links, and had always a good say in the scoring line. Possessed of fine speed and a crack shot, we are sure the Aberdeen executive could not have fixed on a better to fill their outside right position. His future career we will follow with great interest.

N.B. We have seen the surname spelt Livingston and Livingstone in the press, but have settled on the former thanks to confirmation from his family. Hugh was originally recruited as a winger but played most of his games for the Whites at centre-forward.
