"Mason is a left footed centre-back who we have brought up from England. He has signed from Woking FC, having played for Fulham from age seven to fifteen, alongside Harvey Elliot, and thereafter for Oxford United. Mason really impressed when he came up on trial at the end of last season. He has very strong leadership qualities and communicates well. "We hope we can give him an opportunity to come to Aberdeen and help him with his football development. We have a lot of very good contacts at clubs in England now and I must praise the work done by Youth Academy Head of Recruitment Jim Fraser in bringing Mason to the club. We get a lot of tips about players down south and Mason came highly recommended. We think we have someone here who can really develop over the length of his contract." Neil Simpson, 2nd September 2020 In 7th January 2022 it was announced that Mason had signed a one year contract extension and would go out on loan to Stirling Albion until the end of the season. Mason started the 2022-2023 playing for a senior XI at Buckie Thistle, before it was announced on 27th June that he was joining Arbroath on a season long loan. Howvever, later the same day the loan was cacelled as he was retained to provide additional full back cover. After making four first team starts at the opening of season 2022-2023, it was announced on 28th July that Mason was going to join Arbroath on a season long loan. However, Mason suffered a serious knee injury whilst playing in a Dons' bounce game and was recalled to Cormack Park in 1st January 2023. He was not offered a new contract and left the Dons in the summer of 2023.
