Dunlop's 'Free' Upset Moodie

MOODIE, the Airdrie goalkeeper, made one mistake at Pittodrie and it cost his team a point. Dunlop sent a free kick from thirty yards and the 'keeper, after stopping the ball, let it drop behind him into the net.
Playing against the wind in the first half the Young Dons did better than they have done for weeks, and deservedly led by a goal from Glen.
After the change-over, however they were not so happy, and it was Airdrie's turn to make the running. Elliot took a clever equalising goal and it looked as if that would finish the scoring until Dunlop produced the winner.
It was aan improved showing by the Young Dons, for whom Preston and Dunlop were best in defence. Owens, the Inverness Thislte player, was a lively inside forward, and Callander and Glen gave him good support.
Airdrie were a stuffy side in which Moodie, Peden, Torrance and Watson seen to most advantage.
