"Lost the Heid and Bawled at the Referee"
When Georege Berney(34) was arrested at the end of the Aberdeen v Partick Thistle football match at Firhill, Glasgow, last Saturday, he said: "I am sorry, sir. I lost the heid."
Berney, of 59 Stoneyhurst Street, Possilpark, Glasgow, was fined £5 at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday, when he admitted that after the match he had conducted himself in a disorderly manner in the enclosure.
The depute fiscal, Mr. J. M. McLeod, said that at the end of the game the referee approached a section of the crowd which had not been in agreement with some of his decisions.
Berney started to bawl abuse at him. He was very aggressive and his conduct was more outrageous than that of the others.
